How to Find the IP Address for FLEX Device
DHCP Device List from Router
This procedure is applicable only if you have administrative
access (username and password) to a router with DHCP service (usually your
Internet modem/gateway). Otherwise skip to the next section.
- Use
two network cables to connect the Flex device and the PC to the local
network (LAN) over a network switch or directly to the router which is running
the DHCP service.
- Power
the Flex device and note the MAC address to find the IP address in the
next step.
- Open a
browser window on your PC and log into the router which is running the
DHCP service. Look for Diagnostics or Maintenance and find the link to
show the issued DHCP addresses (on some routers called attached devices).
Find the MAC address in the list to obtain the issued IP address. This IP
address can be used to access the Flex device using a web browser and set
the IP address permanently.
